Daina Grosa earned her Bachelor’s degree in Philology at Macquarie University in Australia, her Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics at Monash University in Australia, and completed her PhD at the University of Sussex in the United Kingdom in 2023. She joined the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology at the University of Latvia in 2018 and was elected as a Researcher in 2024. She has contributed to several research projects funded by the Latvian Council of Science, including «Receiving Migrants in Conditions of Uncertainty: Local-Level Governance and Inclusion», «Exploring Well-being and Social Integration in the Context of Liquid Migration: A Longitudinal Approach», and «The Post-Exile Phenomenon: Transformations and Adaptation within the Latvian Exile Community after 1991».
